About the project
The Register Citizen is a multimedia news organization serving Greater Torrington and Litchfield County, Connecticut—with local, state, and enterprise news since 1889, online at registercitizen.com and across the CT Central network of regional publications.
For agency Publiland, we built a custom WordPress theme supporting multiple news portals—including a full Halloween 2011 seasonal microsite for the New Haven Register network: costumes, movies & music, treats, zombies, safety, decorations, and local stories—within the newspaper’s navigation, ads, and video modules.
Delivered on HTML5, CSS3, WordPress, jQuery, PHP, and MySQL—themed content grids, seasonal branding, and CMS workflows so editorial teams could publish holiday sections across Connecticut titles without developer handoffs.
