The world’s first measure of the Web’s contribution to social, economic, and political progress.
The world’s first measure of the Web’s contribution to social, economic, and political progress.
The Web Index is designed and produced by the World Wide Web Foundation. It is the world’s first measure of the World Wide Web’s contribution to social, economic, and political progress in countries across the world.
For agency Zonda, we built a custom WordPress theme for thewebindex.org: global map hero, country ranking tables, indicator detail views, news and communication archives, funding and partners pages, and contact—with a green-and-red brand system aligned to the Foundation’s identity.
Delivered on HTML5, CSS3, WordPress, jQuery, PHP, and MySQL—data-driven templates, search, export utilities, and CMS workflows so the Foundation team could publish index updates and editorial content without developer handoffs.
Web Index microsite—global rankings dashboard, country indicator details, data visualizations, and news communication.
Custom WordPress theme for a global data and advocacy platform.
We reply with a prioritized technical backlog — performance, stability, and conversion friction called out explicitly.
